The BROTHERS Club as it is known today was formed in 1973. The former Brothers Club, or more correctly, the Marist Brothers Club ceased in 1956 and was well revered in the North Sydney District. Even today it is still remembered by hundreds of ex players, supporters and opponents alike.
A need to provide Rugby League for the young men attending Marist College North Shore, after they turned sixteen resulted in the Brothers Club being reincarnated by a small group headed by Ken Ritchie. The club has grown steadily since 1973, fielding teams in age groups from Under 6’s through to Open Age. The club achieved its first premiership in 1974 and since that time, we have won over 50 premierships, whilst promoting physical activity and enjoyment, now for boys and girls. North Sydney Brothers is a family club which has been serving the community for over 45 years.
We offer rugby league for all different age groups, from Under 6’s to under 19’s, as well as A grade.
Brothers is a non-profit sporting organisation and for financial support has always relied on it’s hard working team of people for fund raising and donations from sponsors. To our “SPONSORS” a very big thank you. It is through your generosity that our club has been so successful and continues to thrive.
